Bandstand Marathon
Last year we took part in something a little bit different. We joined the UK wide run up to 2012 by being part of the Cultural Olympiad as one of the host venues for the Bandstand Marathon.

Bandstand Marathon first took place on the weekend of 27/28 September 2008 as part of the launch Open Weekend of the Cultural Olympiad and was organised by Music Development Agency, SUPERACT!

So to contribute to the marathon, the official date and time of which is 2.00pm on 25th September we hosted a multitude of brass and silver bands over the whole weekend, truly a marathon feat!

Another fantastic experience for the whole family awaits at this years event with performances from Rainford Band, Sale Brass Band and Parr Brass Band.
