What To See
Each year we try and bring something different to the event. This year Festival Circus will be entertaining the crowds bringing the magic of the circus alive throughout the weekend and even running circus skills workshops for the young at heart! The fast-moving and spectacular show features a host of circus skills, like daring trapeze, amazing juggling, dazzling acrobatics and of course, the circus clowns! It's an all-human show in the traditional circus style, guaranteed to delight young and old alike, with laughter, thrills and spills!
Dreamscapes are back with their amazing chainsaw sculpting, turning lumps of wood into bears, owls, people and much more in a matter of minutes from the very powerful chainsaw blades. Make sure you check this one out!
Vale Royal Falconry are returning with their ever popular stars of the show including Harris Hawks, Tawney and Long Eared owls plus a few more exotic species of the masters of the air.
For the third year we will have brass bands playing music to bring the bandstand to life for everyone’s ears throughout the weekend. On Sunday at 2pm we will be have one of 150 bands taking part in the nationwide Bandstand Marathon. As part of the Cultural Olympiad the Bandstand Marathon aims to humanise public spaces by having as many bands performing on as many bandstands and outdoor performances spaces all at the same time on the same day throughout the UK.
